![]() Caesar in Gaul and Rise of the Republic are better.Īll new Grand Campaign set during Crisis of 3rd Century. Peloponnesian War Campaign that isn't great due to only 4 playable Greek factions that have no differences in units. Syracuse also has same roster as Athens for the most part, so makes Greek States less worth it. Great Focused Campaign set during Punic Wars, and you get access to Iberian factions which are very fun. Hannibal at the Gates Campaign Pack: HATG, plus Lusitani, Arevaci, and Syracuse. However, they are all Gallic factions so not much variety in units. 50/50Ĭampaign set in France that is just okay since it's limited on mechanics, but the added factions helps the value. One of the best faction packs ever released IMO.Ĭaesar In Gaul Campaign Pack: CIG, plus Nervii, Boii, and Galatia. Get 4 unique factions, varied starting locations, and lots of variety between the 4. My Thracians are one of my favorite factions to use which makes it worth it to me, but while these have many unique units, they are very specialized factions only good at a few things and very bad at others.ĭesert Kingdoms DLC: Play as Kush, Saba, Nabatea, and Masaesyli. Pirates and Raiders DLC: Play as Odrysian Kingdom, Tylis, and Ardiaei. Pergamon does have great campaign bonuses though. Hybrid Greek factions that can be fun but besides Cimmeria they aren't very varied in units as they should be. However, Roxolani focus on Melee Cav, Massagetae focus on Shock Cav, and Scythia focus on Horse Archers.īlack Sea Colonies DLC: Play as Pergamon, Cimmeria, and Colchis. Unless you like Cavalry only factions or want their starting locations, I feel you can get the same experience with Parthia and Armenia since their Cav are similar. Nomads DLC Pack: Play as Roxolani, Massagetae, and Royal Scythia, Not Worth It Athens is very generic, but have a decent navy. Sparta has unique spearmen and pikemen, but not much else. The standout of the DLC is Epirus where they have a similar makeup to Macedon but with access to Dogs and Elephants, which I enjoyed using. Greek States DLC: Play as Sparta, Athens, and Epirus. (Keep in mind, I always buy stuff for Total War during the Steam Summer/Winter Sales, and I didn't buy anything during the Sega 60 sales since I have everything already) I'll separate each DLC and say whether I think it is worth it, 50/50, or not worth it. Unlike the other commenter that says Rome 2 DLC doesn't add anything, I personally enjoy a lot of the Rome 2 DLC. Think we missed one?
